So I haven’t been doing the best lately in terms of the eat clean challenge, bur stepped on the scale, and I’m still hovering at 122, which is quite alright. Although I eat healthy most of the time, I do eat junk food around once a week, and end up drinking once a week too. So I think what I’m learning most from this is that you can give in every once in a while and it’s not gonna be the end of the world! I’m happy with how I look, and I don’t always have to adhere strictly to the rules I’m following. That being said, I’m definitely not going to stop eating this way once the challenge ends, I like it this way!
So back to tracking my food; breakfast today was whole wheat pancakes (actually challenge friendly!, and who knows what for morning snack or lunch. I’m thinking about making a nice grilled chicken sandwich.
Oh, how I love candy! Too bad it’s not challenge-friendly. I totally pigged out on chocolate Sunday night while handing out treats to the neighbourhood children. Aaaaand ate the candy from my mom on Monday. And maybe had a couple chocolates Tuesday. Oops!
However, on a little side note .. on top of all the eating and drinking (another oops) this weekend, I didn’t gain any weight since my last time stepping on the scale. So I guess the challenge is working. :)
Anyways, I’m back on track today! Breakfast was almond butter on toast, morning snack was carrots, lunch was a chicken caesar salad, and afternoon snack was toast with beans and salsa.
And tonight I may even attempt the track. This week is 7k runs (YEAAA almost at 10!).
